The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) is providing support to Albania in an ongoing search-and-rescue operation.
According to an official statement by the KSF, a search-and-rescue contingent has been deployed at the request of the Republic of Albania to assist in the operation to locate a missing person in the Mat River, reports Dukagjini.
“At the request of the authorities of the Republic of Albania, the Kosovo Security Force has engaged a Search-and-Rescue contingent from the Civil Protection Regiment of the National Guard of the KSF, which has joined the operation in Kolosit, Republic of Albania, to intervene in the search for a missing person in the course of the Mat River,” the statement said.
The deployment underscores the close cooperation between Kosovo and Albania in the field of civil protection, emergency response, and humanitarian assistance, reflecting the KSF’s growing role in regional security and disaster-response operations.
