Kosovo’s Ambassador to Brussels, Agron Bajrami, met with Peter Sorensen, the EU’s envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, to discuss the next steps in the normalization process between the two countries.
Bajrami emphasized that Kosovo’s goal remains mutual recognition and EU integration. “We look forward to shaping the Kosovo-Serbia normalization dialogue, focused on mutual recognition and fully opening Kosovo’s path to swift, merit-based EU integration,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Sorensen underscored the importance of working toward full normalization of relations. “I had a great first meeting with Ambassador Agron Bajrami today. Looking forward to working together toward the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia,” he noted.
The meeting comes as the EU continues efforts to mediate between Prishtina and Belgrade, with Kosovo seeking formal recognition while Serbia remains resistant to such a step.
