The Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo has launched a major police operation in Peja targeting serious criminal activities.
According to an official statement, the operation focuses on organized crime, kidnapping, and illegal possession of firearms.
“A police operation, led by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, is underway in Peja based on a court-issued search warrant, under suspicions of committing the following criminal offenses: organized crime, kidnapping, and illegal weapons possession. Further details that can be publicly disclosed will be provided after the conclusion of the police operation,” the statement reads.
Authorities have emphasized that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and ensure public safety in Kosovo.
