The Kosovo Specialist Chambers has issued a statement regarding the final judgment expected in the case against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi.

According to the statement, the panel of judges requested an additional 60 days due to the large volume of evidence and the complexity of the proceedings.

“On May 5, the Trial Panel issued an order extending the deadline for the judgment in this case because of the volume of evidence and the complexity of the proceedings. The order extends the deadline for delivering the judgment by 60 days. The public will be informed once the Trial Panel sets a specific date for the announcement of the judgment,” the statement from The Hague said.

However, the possibility has not been ruled out that the Trial Panel could issue another decision extending the deadline further before the final judgment is delivered.
