The year 2025 marked a significant period for the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), which engaged in intensive training and joint exercises with NATO member states. This engagement aimed to strengthen operational capabilities and preparedness for any challenge, contributing to national stability and security.
The KSF has also advanced in the modernization of its capacities, with a particular focus on the acquisition of modern weapons and equipment, including U.S.-manufactured armored vehicles and advanced drones. In addition, the KSF has received Javelin anti-tank missiles from the United States and Panzerfaust 3 systems from Germany assets that enhance defense and operational capabilities.
A key moment was Kosovo’s participation in the largest international military exercise, “Defender Europe 2025,” where the Kosovo Security Force demonstrated its military capabilities and close cooperation with allied forces. This engagement has increased confidence in Kosovo as a reliable partner in the region and beyond.
Furthermore, a trilateral agreement between Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia was signed to strengthen defense capacities and military cooperation. This year has demonstrated Kosovo’s commitment to expanding its military capabilities and to becoming a fully prepared and credible future member of NATO.
