The Director General of the Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK), Mentor Hyseni, hosted today the Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), Petrit Ajeti, in what was described as the opening of a new chapter in institutional cooperation aimed at protecting Kosovo’s economic security.

According to the announcement, the meeting emphasized the importance of continuous coordination, information sharing, and strengthening institutional capacities to safeguard the public interest and counter threats that undermine citizens’ security and well-being.

The agreement between ATK and AKI goes beyond the prevention of tax evasion, expanding its scope to address other phenomena that may jeopardize the economic and social integrity of the country.

“This cooperation will contribute to increased transparency, public trust, and the creation of a fairer and safer system for all,” the joint statement noted.

The Kosovo Tax Administration reaffirmed its commitment to advancing its mission through such strategic partnerships, supporting the rule of law and serving the interests of all citizens.
