Kosovo will be the host country for Defender Europe 25/Immediate Response, the largest military exercise in Europe, announced Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci.

Maqedonci confirmed that preparations for the multinational drill are progressing as planned, expressing confidence in its success.

During a visit to Mnelë, Albania, Maqedonci, alongside FSK Commander Lt. Gen. Bashkim Jashari, observed 120 mm mortar live-fire training conducted by the 3rd Infantry Regiment’s Mortar Platoon.

“The Kosovo Security Force will host Europe’s largest military exercise, Defender Europe 25/Immediate Response,” Maqedonci stated. “Today’s training in Albania reaffirms that our army meets NATO standards in professionalism, motivation, and equipment. Together, we are stronger!”

The Defender Europe exercise, led by U.S. Army Europe and NATO allies, enhances military interoperability and regional security. This marks a major milestone for Kosovo’s growing role in international defense operations.
