Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, has provided details regarding the agreement with Turkey for the ammunition factory.
He outlined the types of munitions that are intended to be produced.
“We will be producing munitions used by the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and the Kosovo Police, as well as other weapons commonly used by infantry units in all NATO armies. Initially, we plan to produce 5.56mm ammunition, which is a standard caliber for infantry weapons, as well as 7.62mm ammunition, which is used in light machine guns. These are the most commonly used types of munitions,” Maqedonci said in an interview with RTK.
