The U.S. Embassy in Kosovo has expressed gratitude to the country for its readiness to accept third-country nationals who have been removed from the United States.
Sharing a message from Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati, a thank-you letter praised Kosovo’s partnership, highlighting it as the first country in Europe to announce its willingness to accept these individuals, as reported by IndeksOnline.
“Thank you to our partner, Kosovo, the first country in Europe to announce the acceptance of third-country nationals removed from the United States. Securing the U.S. border is a key priority for the Trump administration, and I highly value both the government and the people of Kosovo for their partnership,” Prattipati stated.
Kosovo’s acting government decided to offer temporary protection for 50 individuals as part of its cooperation with the United States.
“The individuals subject to this decision, during their stay in the Republic of Kosovo, will act in accordance with the legislation in force and will enjoy the rights defined by the applicable legislation,” the acting executive announced after holding an electronic meeting on June 11.
