The Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) has announced its reinstatement as a full member of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), after being excluded in 2018.
In a Facebook post, the KAA highlighted that Kosovo is now the first country in the Western Balkans to achieve this prestigious status.
“This extraordinary achievement confirms Kosovo’s commitment to quality education and European standards,” the announcement stated. “Our diplomas now bear the seal of European quality, opening the doors of the future for our students.”
The KAA’s exclusion in 2018, during the Haradinaj government, was attributed to political interference, specifically the unlawful dismissal of Board members and the management of the Accreditation Agency.
