The caretaker government of Kosovo has approved the allocation of over €300,000 to provide school textbooks for Albanian students in the Preshevo Valley, during an electronic cabinet meeting held earlier today.
According to the government, the funds were allocated based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Albanian National Council, aimed at supplying 35,448 school textbooks for 3,650 Albanian pupils in the primary schools of Preshevo, Bujanovac, and Medveđa.
The allocation also covers advocacy and internationalization efforts regarding the Preshevo Valley issue in the United States, the European Union, and relevant international organizations.
Additionally, the government has decided to grant €50,000 to the family of the late police officer Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed in the line of duty during the terrorist attack in Banjska. The funds will be used for the construction of a reception area dedicated to citizens and as a symbol of respect and honor for Bunjaku’s life and service.
In the same session, the government also approved the allocation of €200,000 for the renovation of a facility in North Mitrovica, which will be used by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, specifically the Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK).
