The caretaker Government of Kosovo is holding its regular meeting today at 9:30 a.m., with a focus on key budgetary, economic, and environmental issues that are expected to shape the country’s policy direction for 2026.
According to the official agenda, the cabinet will deliberate on the following points:
- Review and approval of the minutes from previous government meetings (Nos. 270, 271, and 272).
- Examination of the Draft Law on Budget Allocations for the 2026 fiscal year.
- Consideration of a proposal for expropriation of immovable properties for public interest, intended for the needs of central security institutions in Prizren and Malisheva.
- Review of budget approval requests from the municipalities of Prishtina, Gjilan, and Zubin Potok, following their adoption by local assemblies for 2025.
- Assessment of the 2024 Draft Annual Report on the State of the Environment in Kosovo.
- Miscellaneous issues.
The meeting is expected to underline the government’s priorities in fiscal discipline, security infrastructure, and environmental protection, as the country transitions through a period of political uncertainty.
