Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, along with Deputy Ministers Gegë Lleshi and Enis Kervan, met today with Commander Alban Dervishi of the USS Pearl Harbor, an amphibious assault ship of the United States Navy, who is of Albanian heritage.
During the meeting, Minister Maqedonci praised Commander Dervishi’s dedication, professionalism, and accomplishments, noting that he represents a strong example of the growing role of Albanian-Americans in U.S. security and defense institutions.
Commander Dervishi expressed his honor at visiting Kosovo and commended the country’s progress, particularly in developing and advancing its defense system.
Minister Maqedonci thanked him for the visit and reiterated Kosovo’s appreciation for the continued support of the United States, emphasizing that the U.S. remains a strategic and irreplaceable ally for the country.
