Kosovo’s Economy Grows by 4.58% in Q2 2025

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) has published data on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, broken down by economic activities and expenditure approach. The data indicate that GDP recorded a real growth of 4.58% compared to the same period in 2024.

According to the ASK report, these figures reflect a positive performance of Kosovo’s economy in the second quarter of this year.

Several key sectors showed growth, including:

  • Financial and insurance activities: 8.79%
  • Professional, technical, and administrative services: 4.27%
  • Construction: 4.15%
  • Manufacturing industry: 3.34%
  • Trade, transport, accommodation, and food services: 3.62%
  • Agriculture, forestry, and fishing: 2.98%
  • Information and communication: 2.38%
  • Real estate activities: 0.44%

Conversely, declines were observed in the extractive industry, electricity, gas, water supply, and waste management, which contracted by -6.79%.

From the expenditure perspective, GDP growth was driven by:

  • Exports of goods and services: 10.42%
  • Imports of goods and services: 13.23%
  • Gross capital formation: 10.99%
  • Final consumption of households and non-profit institutions serving households: 3.91%

ASK emphasizes that these data reflect a positive economic performance in Kosovo for Q2 2025, with notable growth in the services and investment sectors.
