Three of Kosovo’s most successful judokas—Distria Krasniqi, Laura Fazliu, and Akil Gjakova—will represent Kosovo at the Judo World Championships, taking place from today until June 19 in Budapest, Hungary, reports Rks News.
Olympic champion Distria Krasniqi will compete tomorrow (Saturday), Akil Gjakova will take to the tatami on Sunday, while Laura Fazliu will seek a medal on Monday.
The Judo Federation of Kosovo has wished the athletes the best of luck and success, as they aim to return with medals from one of the sport’s most prestigious international events.
