In the February 9th elections, as in the 2021 elections, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) emerged as the second-largest political force in the country.

With more than 90% of votes counted, the party has received 22.55% of the vote and is expected to secure 25 seats in the Parliament.

The most-voted candidate within the party is prime ministerial candidate, Bedri Hamza, with over 150,000 votes. In the February 14, 2021 elections, Hamza had received fewer than 24,000 votes.

Memli Krasniqi has received 85,293 votes, compared to just 15,912 votes four years ago. Xhavit Haliti, the longest-serving MP in Kosovo’s Parliament, who was elected in 2021 with 10,538 votes, has received about 1,000 more votes from the ballots counted so far.

However, he is not expected to secure a seat in Parliament this time.

This will mark the first time since 2001 that Haliti will not have a seat in Parliament. He has always been part of the legislative body since then.
