Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has announced that during his visit to the Institute for War Crimes Committed During the War, he saw hundreds of materials that document the crimes committed in Kosovo.
At a government meeting, he stated that preserving these materials is crucial for both history and justice.
“I saw how the materials are being preserved, and if we were to say how much material there is, it would amount to 189 meters in length with folders, or in other words, 15.8 terabytes of information. All of this is thanks to those who have contributed — citizens, institutions, municipalities, journalists, and many others. We know that this process is not easy, but it is essential for realizing the truth, documenting it, and enabling and assisting justice,” said Kurti.
He emphasized that there is a strong commitment to protecting our collective memory.
“This cooperation is proof of our shared commitment to protect our collective memory. Therefore, for cases like this, we remember all those who sacrificed for our freedom,” Kurti added.
