The Special Prosecution of Kosovo has launched an investigation into the stabbing of an official from the European Union Office in Kosovo.

Prosecution spokesperson Arbnora Luta confirmed that authorities are taking all necessary investigative measures to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

“In coordination with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police, the Special Prosecution is undertaking all necessary investigative actions with the aim of establishing the full factual situation,” said Luta.

Officials stated that the case is still in its early investigative phase, and to preserve the integrity of the process, no further details can be shared at this stage.

The EU Office in Kosovo has also confirmed the incident to the media, expressing that they are “deeply shocked” by the news.

“An investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working to determine the facts. As this is an active investigation, we are not in a position to provide further details at this time,” the EU Office said in a statement.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities have not yet disclosed any information regarding possible suspects.
