The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has annulled 529 envelopes containing ballots from the diaspora due to reported irregularities.
Besnik Buzhala, Director of the Office for Registration, Certification, and Financial Oversight of Political Parties, stated in today’s KQZ meeting that some of the annulled envelopes contained only voter registration forms but no actual ballots.
Meanwhile, vote counting for parliamentary candidates has begun in 18 municipal counting centers, with eight more set to start today.
Buzhala acknowledged delays in some municipalities due to technical issues. KQZ members urged the Secretariat to prepare a backup plan in case of system failures and to be ready for manual counting if necessary.
