The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has announced that it is awaiting the conclusion of all appeals against the final results declared on 31 January 2026 before proceeding with the official certification of the early parliamentary elections held on 28 December 2025.
Spokesperson Valmir Elezi told Reporteri.net that, under the Law on General Elections, stakeholders have the right to appeal decisions of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) to the Supreme Court, and the deadline for submitting appeals ends today.
“Currently, the electoral process is in the phase of appeals against the final results declared by KQZ on 31 January 2026. Stakeholders may appeal PZAP decisions to the Supreme Court, with today marking the deadline for submissions,” Elezi said.
He added that the KQZ will wait until all decisions become final before moving forward with the certification of the election results.
