The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has started the verification process for postal votes. According to procedures, the packages containing ballots are initially subjected to an assessment process. This includes verifying if the votes belong to registered voters and ensuring all other required procedures have been followed. The counting of these ballots will take place in a later phase at the Counting and Results Center, after the election day.
The process of evaluating the postal deliveries will also be observed by accredited KQZ observers, who will be informed in advance.
Today, KQZ has also begun the evaluation of ballot packages arriving from abroad, which have been received by the KQZ so far. The purpose of the verification is to confirm whether the packages have been sent by registered voters voting from outside Kosovo.
