Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (KQZ), shared on Facebook that he is currently in the United States as part of a program supported by the U.S. Congressional Office for International Leadership.
In Washington, Elezi visited the “White House” and “Capitol Hill,” two significant places in the history of Kosovo and Albanians in general. His full post reads: “The White House and Capitol Hill are two places where the international support for our people’s path to freedom and Kosovo’s independence was gained.”
“It is incredibly emotional to visit these places, where not too long ago, Kosovo’s issue became part of the international political agenda,” Elezi added.
