The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has strongly criticized the prolonged judicial process against the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), who have been in detention for more than four years, Gazeta Blic reports.

Krasniqi stressed that the delays and deviation from international standards of justice have raised serious concerns, both for the rights of the accused and for citizens’ trust in the justice system. Reports that the court is allegedly relying on fabricated evidence from Serbia have deepened these concerns even further.

The PDK has expressed full support for the protest organized by former KLA fighters on August 7, describing it as a manifestation for justice and the innocence of the liberators.

Krasniqi called on citizens to join the protest, which will be held at Skanderbeg Square at 5:00 PM.
