The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, stated that the head of LVV, Albin Kurti, does not have the PDK’s vote for Prime Minister.

Krasniqi expressed this position firmly.

“It depends on whether the Assembly is constituted; there are two possibilities here — the constitution is completed, we enter the constitutional deadlines. I told Mr. Kurti, go ahead, prove that you have 61 votes. Is there anything more strange than saying ‘I have the votes for Prime Minister, but I don’t have the votes for Speaker of the Assembly’? That has never happened,” Krasniqi said.

When asked whether Kurti has the PDK’s vote for Prime Minister, he replied that this cannot happen in any way.

“No, in no way; that is not even up for discussion. It means there is a vote against,” Krasniqi declared on Klan Kosova.

Today, PDK voted in favor of electing Dimal Basha as Speaker of the Assembly. Krasniqi was asked about the possibility of cooperation beyond today’s vote.

“The spin doctors tried to create a completely unrealistic explanation. Understand, this is exactly what you see. There is no hidden agenda, no other intentions. It is what we said from day one, and we held to it today,” Krasniqi said.

Asked specifically if there is any cooperation between PDK and LVV for local elections, Krasniqi said: “Absolutely not.”
