Elbert Krasniqi, the Minister of Local Government Administration, stated in a joint conference with Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci about the formation of the new government that there is no doubt he will be part of a coalition where Albin Kurti is the Prime Minister.
According to Krasniqi, Kurti’s government is the only one that has focused on minority communities. However, he emphasized that it is unfair to speak on behalf of non-Serb minorities regarding coalition partners.
“All communities have benefited the most from this government’s policies,” he added.
Krasniqi also mentioned that after discussions with other colleagues in the government, the willingness to be part of the upcoming Kurti-led government is clear. “Yes, in cooperation with Prime Minister Kurti, I will be part of the upcoming government coalition, which is already well defined, starting from 2019 when I was part of the VV parliamentary group. Everything is based on the mutual respect and understanding built over these four years as a minister,” Krasniqi concluded.
