The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, stated that Albin Kurti will no longer become the Prime Minister of Kosovo, following his failure on Sunday to secure a majority in the Assembly.
He said that Kurti and Vetëvendosje are responsible for the ongoing crisis in Kosovo.
“We have experienced nine months of deadlock, and today confirmed what we said from the start. Albin Kurti does not have the numbers. 56 votes in favor and no more. Albin Kurti will no longer be Prime Minister, neither from February 9 nor from the next elections. His time in government has come to an end,” Krasniqi said.
He also stated that the opposition will not attempt to form a majority.
