Following the meeting called by Albin Kurti with political party leaders, Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Chairman Memli Krasniqi reacted, deeming it unsuccessful and driven more by obligation than a genuine will for resolution.
“It was as if the meeting was to fulfill a formal obligation and not to find real solutions. After the Constitutional Court’s judgment, the situation has changed, but Kurti has not. His positions remained the same,” Krasniqi stated.
He accused Kurti of perpetuating an “imposing mentality and political stubbornness,” which, according to Krasniqi, is keeping the country in a blockade and preventing the necessary consensus for the Assembly’s constitution.
“This meeting, called by Kurti perhaps to act out the fulfillment of an obligation and the responsibility to find consensus, turned out to be unsuccessful. The situation is not the same after the judgment, but Kurti is the same, and his positions remained the same. His imposing mentality and political stubbornness continue to be a priority for him over finding solutions and ending the blockade,” Krasniqi concluded.
