The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) officially launched its campaign today at Skënderbeu Square in Pristina.
Addressing the crowd, PDK leader Memli Krasniqi called on citizens to support and vote for the party’s candidates for municipal mayors.
He also told the people of Pristina that Uran Ismaili is the right person to lead the capital city.
“I say with confidence that we expect victory in these elections in most municipalities of Kosovo because we have the best candidates for mayors and the best programs. From the meetings we hold every day in the capital and from the extraordinary energy I feel here tonight, it is clear: it is the time for Pristina, it is the time for Uran,” Krasniqi said.
He further stated that he expects former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) to also emerge victorious in the ongoing judicial process at The Hague.
“Additionally, as a people and as a state, we expect another victory: a victory of justice at The Hague for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi, as well as their fellow fighters. I salute our compatriots who gather there tomorrow to raise their voices for the integrity of the KLA’s struggle, and I express our belief that our liberators will soon be free in Kosovo,” Krasniqi added.
