The Kremlin stated on Thursday that Russia remains “interested in continuing negotiations” aimed at reaching a final settlement of the war in Ukraine, despite carrying out the largest wave of strikes on Kyiv since July.

The attacks left at least 15 people dead, including four children, and around 50 injured, according to Ukrainian officials.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russian forces were targeting Ukraine’s military infrastructure, insisting that Moscow does not deliberately strike civilians – a claim offered without evidence.

“The Russian armed forces are carrying out their duties. They continue to hit military infrastructure. The strikes are successful, objectives are being destroyed, and the special military operation continues. At the same time, Russia remains interested in continuing the negotiation process to achieve our goals through political and diplomatic means,” Peskov said.
