The Regional Water Company “Mitrovica” has informed consumers in the municipality of Vushtrri not to use tap water for drinking until further notice.
In a Facebook statement, KRU “Mitrovica” recommended that residents use the water only for technical and hygienic purposes, not for human consumption.
“In cooperation with the National Institute of Public Health, we are still awaiting laboratory test results. Therefore, until our next announcement, the recommendation remains: tap water should not be used for human consumption but only for other needs (technical and hygienic). Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” the company stated.
The water supply in Vushtrri had already been disrupted since yesterday due to a pipe burst on Bahri Kuqi Street.
