The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has successfully completed its first-ever Close Protection Course, developed in cooperation with Germany’s Ministry of Defence. The training was part of the 2025 Bilateral Defense Cooperation Plan between the two countries.
This pioneering course, organized by the KSF Military Police, was conducted under the leadership of certified instructors from the elite unit, with professional assistance from German military trainers and oversight from the Doctrine and Training Command (KDS).
The course covered a wide array of advanced techniques, including:
- Use of both short- and long-range firearms
- Tactical self-defense strategies
- Movement in combat formations
- Controlled vehicle maneuvers in high-risk scenarios
The primary objective was to strengthen the professional skills of Military Police members in the field of Close Protection—a critical area of operational readiness.
In its official statement, the KSF expressed deep appreciation for the contribution of German instructors and the ongoing support of the German Ministry of Defence, affirming that the successful completion of this course directly enhances the operational capacities of Kosovo’s Military Police.
