As part of the ongoing partnership between the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and the Iowa National Guard, a delegation from the KSF participated in a Planning Conference in Iowa, USA, to coordinate training and activities for the years 2025-2027. The conference focused on various sectors including maneuver operations, logistical support, personnel, communications and cybersecurity, medical services, and non-commissioned officer channels, as well as leadership development.
According to the KSF’s statement, the conference was conducted in Iowa in line with the guidance and commitments of KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, and the Iowa National Guard Commander, Major General Stephen Osborn.
The delegation, led by Colonel Astrit Haliti, the Chief of Operations for the KSF (G3/7), included members from the KSF General Staff (G1SHP, G4SHP), as well as senior officers such as the KSF Major of the General Staff and the KFT (Kosovo Forces Team).
During this event, the joint training and activity plan for 2025-2026 was updated, and plans for 2027 were incorporated to support the comprehensive transition plan.
