A contingent of 152 soldiers from the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has departed for the United States to participate in the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) program at Fort Polk, Louisiana, a cornerstone of military preparedness within the U.S. Army.

President Vjosa Osmani extended her best wishes to the troops, stating on Facebook:

“This morning, upon my return from the U.S., I wished a safe journey and success to the 152 KSF soldiers heading to the United States for the JRTC training program.”

The JRTC is known for offering highly realistic and intensive combat simulations that prepare troops for the full spectrum of modern conflict scenarios. The training center emphasizes interoperability, stress endurance, and joint force readiness, involving active army units, the National Guard, reserve components, and multinational partners.

This marks a significant moment in Kosovo’s growing military cooperation with the United States and reflects continued progress in the professionalization of the KSF. The soldiers will undergo rigorous drills designed to simulate real-world battlefield challenges and cultivate stronger alliances.

The KSF’s participation in this elite training further cements its evolving role as a reliable partner in regional and global security operations.
