The Kosovo Agency of Statistics has announced that this year, the pension scheme for the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has increased by 15.2 percent compared to the previous year.
In a press release, it is stated that this year, 847 people benefited, while in June last year, there were 735 beneficiaries.
“Decrease in beneficiaries of pension schemes, compared to a year earlier. In June 2024, compared to June 2023, there was a decrease in the number of beneficiaries from: Trepça pension scheme (-18.9%); disability pension scheme (-17.6%); social assistance scheme (-9.0%); family pension scheme (-6.2%); age-related contributory pension scheme (-1.3%); martyr families and war invalids pension scheme (-1.0%),” the announcement states.
The announcement also mentions an increase in beneficiaries of pension schemes, “compared to a year earlier in June 2024, compared to June 2023, there was an increase in the number of beneficiaries from the Paraplegic and Tetraplegic Pension Scheme (13.8%); Financial Support Scheme for Families with Disabled Children (11.0%); Disability Pension Scheme (8.4%); Compensation Scheme for Education Workers from the 1990/91 to 1998/99 School Years (5.7%); Kosovo Protection Corps (TMK) Pension Scheme (3.3%); Basic Age Pension Scheme (0.9%); War Veterans Pension Scheme (0.7%); and Compensation Scheme for the Blind (0.7%).”
