As part of testing operational readiness, under the order of the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), the field exercise “Signal 2024” was conducted with the aim of testing communication within the KSF at three levels: Strategic, Operational, and Tactical.
The exercise took place within the territory of Kosovo, where KSF communication units, led by the Communications and Information Technology Department of the General Staff of the Kosovo Security Force, were deployed to various locations. They tested communication capacities by providing services through the combat radio network, administrative support radio network, intranet, internet, and interoperability of communication systems and networks.
The Chief of Staff of the General Staff, Brigadier General Ilir Qeriqi, along with his collaborators, visited the Communication Center deployed in the field to closely observe the progress and flow of the “Signal 2024” exercise.
Colonel Fidaim Elshani, Head of G6 at the General Staff, presented to General Qeriqi the communication capacity and readiness, demonstrating real-time support with communication across several operational zones simultaneously, with the aim of providing command-control for troops engaged in operations.
The exercise concluded with a post-action analysis and the return of forces to their bases.
