Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Lumir Abdixhiku are set to meet at 14:00 today to discuss the election of the President of Kosovo.

According to Government spokesperson Përparim Kryeziu, the meeting will take place within the premises of the Assembly of Kosovo.

“Prime Minister Kurti meets today with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku at 14:00 in the Parliament premises,” Kryeziu told Reporteri.

This meeting follows yesterday’s discussion between Kurti and Bedri Hamza, which was held at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Government building.

The LDK is seeking consensus from these discussions regarding the presidential election. LDK MP Armend Zemaj stated that while the party does not have a named candidate yet, it has “people who serve as examples” for such positions.

“It’s not that we discussed whether we have a candidate. What is known and recognized is that we have potential. We have always had potential. We have people who are exemplary in leadership—whether for president, prime minister, or other positions,” Zemaj told KosovaPress.

Regarding current speculation about President Vjosa Osmani, who aims to remain in office for another term, Zemaj confirmed that no political decision has been made yet concerning her candidacy.
