The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today in Washington, D.C., with U.S. Republican Senator Joni Ernst.
The two discussed current developments in Kosovo and the region, focusing on security, defense, Euro-Atlantic integration, and Kosovo’s economic development.
Kurti highlighted the importance and value of the partnership between the Iowa National Guard and the Kosovo Security Force in the field of defense, expressing his and the government’s commitment to further deepen this cooperation.
He also emphasized the importance of American investments in Kosovo, outlining the opportunities the country offers for foreign investors in infrastructure, energy, and technology.
The Acting Prime Minister thanked Senator Ernst for her friendship and steadfast support for the people of Kosovo, as well as for her engagement and contribution in strengthening ties and relations between Kosovo, the state of Iowa, and the United States more broadly.
