Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde.

During their meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Kosovo and Germany, as well as cooperation across various sectors, with a particular focus on the rule of law.

Ambassador Rohde inquired about the ongoing deadlock regarding the constitution of the Kosovo Assembly and the pending international agreements awaiting parliamentary approval. In response, Prime Minister Kurti stressed the urgency and importance of completing the constitution of the 9th legislature through the election of the Assembly’s Presidency.

Kurti outlined the efforts made to resolve the situation, including his meetings with party leaders represented in the Assembly and participation in the consultation convened by the President of Kosovo, following the latest ruling of the Constitutional Court.

The Prime Minister also addressed the recent bomb threat made against the Kosovo Assembly over the past weekend. He emphasized that security institutions have confirmed the phone number used for the threat is registered in Serbia and belongs to the Serbian telecom provider MTS, thus confirming the origin of the threat.
