The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, has met with Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

In a Facebook post, Hargreaves said that he and Kurti discussed the election campaign, expressing hope for a calm electoral process that would allow for the swift formation of institutions in the new year, IndeksOnline reports.

The two also discussed the need to restart the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.

“Today I met with Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti. We discussed the election campaign and our hope for a calm electoral process that enables the rapid formation of institutions in the new year.

This is essential for urgently needed progress in areas such as the national budget. We also discussed the need for the next government to restart progress in the EU-facilitated Dialogue and European integration, as well as active measures to further facilitate the integration of Kosovo’s non-majority communities. I hope we can deepen the UK–Kosovo partnership with the next government,” Hargreaves wrote.
