Prishtina, July 19, 2025 — Acting Prime Minister and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, met today with the chairman of the Social Democratic Initiative (Nisma), Fatmir Limaj, amid ongoing efforts to overcome Kosovo’s institutional deadlock.
The meeting, held at a restaurant in downtown Prishtina around midday, concluded without a formal agreement. While both parties have remained silent publicly, sources suggest that the central topic of discussion was the ongoing political impasse and the stalled formation of new institutions.
According to RTK sources, the two leaders are expected to meet again in the coming days, indicating that negotiations are still underway.
This encounter had been anticipated throughout the week, raising hopes for a breakthrough. However, the lack of concrete progress underscores the challenges in forming a new parliamentary majority and government following the recent elections.
