Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has called on the European Union’s new High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, to urge Serbia to hand over Milan Radoičić, the mastermind behind the September 24th attack in Banjskë, to the authorities in Kosovo.

Kurti met with Kallas on Tuesday in Brussels to discuss a range of issues, including Kosovo’s progress in European integration and its relations with Serbia, its northern neighbor.

During the meeting, Kurti emphasized Kosovo’s economic growth and democratic progress, noting that the country has successfully managed serious security challenges, including the tragic death of police officer Afrim Bunjaku.

“The mastermind behind the Banjskë attack, the head of the gang that carried it out, is still free and is supported by Serbia. We have consistently requested, as in every meeting, the handover of Radoičić to the authorities in Kosovo, as the prosecution now has a 160-page indictment, and his group, consisting of more than 40 people,” Kurti said.
