Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, once again addressed the November 29th attack on the Ibër Lepenci water canal. According to Kurti, these actions were an attempt to create a collapse in national security and to destabilize the country.
Kurti made these comments during the launch of the “White Book” organized by the European Council of Investors, emphasizing that “Belgrade is being hindered by the fact that Kosovo is developing as a new European state.”
“The presentation of the fifth edition of the ‘White Book’ is a confirmation of efforts to improve the Kosovo landscape. Our journey, our work, our life experiences, and the publication of this book not only serve as a valuable document, but it also contains recommendations that are important for the Government and institutions, which will help improve legislation and the private sector,” Kurti said.
The Prime Minister stated that the attack on November 29 had the goal of destabilizing the country and scaring the citizens.
“I highly appreciate your determination to be active in the International Investment Council, recognizing the European investments in the Republic of Kosovo. However, we cannot overlook the criminal terrorist attack on Friday, which led to hybrid attacks aimed at destabilizing our country and scaring citizens. They tried to deprive us of water and electricity, creating a collapse in our security. These are Russian manual attacks against our state and citizens. In Belgrade, they are being hindered by the fact that Kosovo is developing, but they failed in their goal. Kosovo, as a new European state, is proving that democracy and development can go hand in hand. This is why our state is being attacked—to stop the momentum of our development. Kosovo has made significant progress in the rule of law, and this is in the best interest of both foreign and domestic investors. Our government does not hinder investments,” Kurti concluded.
