Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during his speech at the General Council of LVV, expressed concerns about the government in Serbia and the leadership of Aleksandar Vučić. He called for the suspension of both current and future aid to Serbia from the EU, the US, and the United Kingdom.

Kurti also emphasized the need to sanction anyone collaborating with individuals on the US blacklist. Additionally, he requested the restoration of the 5-kilometer security zone between Kosovo and Serbia, arguing that Serbia is misusing the removal of this zone, which occurred in 2001.

“That zone was removed in August 2001 when Zoran Đinđić was prime minister, and he was assassinated. The regime of Aleksandar Vučić is exploiting this situation, bringing in artillery and additional troops, as well as Chinese air defense systems into this 5-kilometer strip,” Kurti stated.
