Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (VV) has officially announced its candidate for mayor of Skenderaj Municipality in the upcoming October 12 elections: Hysni Mehani.
The announcement was made during a meeting with the organizational structures of the Skenderaj Center, attended by the acting Prime Minister and VV leader, Albin Kurti.
According to the official statement, Mehani is described as a tireless man, close to the citizens, with deep knowledge of local issues.
“Skenderaj needs new leadership. Leadership that puts the citizen above everything else…” the VV statement reads.
Besides Kurti, the meeting was attended by VV’s General Secretary Alim Rama, Center Coordinator Salih Zyba, and MP Arjeta Fejza, all expressing strong support for Mehani’s candidacy.
Vetëvendosje promises a transparent administration, investments in agriculture, education, and infrastructure, as well as close cooperation with the central government for sustainable development in Skenderaj.
