Following the 0-0 draw between Albania and Serbia, Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, reacted via social media, commending the Albanian national team for their commitment and dignified performance.

Kurti emphasized that despite high expectations and extraordinary attention surrounding the match, Albania showed dedication and played better than their opponent. He suggested that with a bit more luck at the end of the first half, the result could have been different.

“Expectations were high, attention also! With a bit more luck at the end of the first half, we could have taken all three points from the match. Therefore, the draw left us unsatisfied with the result, but not with the National Team, which played better than its opponent,” Kurti wrote.

Concluding his reaction, he expressed full confidence that Albania will successfully complete this qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup. “At the end of these qualifications, we are convinced that Albania will triumph.”

The match took place at the “Air Albania” stadium in front of a passionate audience. Despite historical tensions between the two national teams, the game concluded without incident, with each side earning one point.
