Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized today that empowering rural women is both social justice and a direct investment in Kosovo’s economic development.
Speaking at the regional conference “Empowering Rural Women in the Western Balkans: Rights, Challenges, Economic Empowerment and Progress through CEDAW and EU Reports”, Kurti underlined the crucial role of women in advancing the country’s future.
The prime minister highlighted that Kosovo has visionary, skilled, and innovative women farmers, who are not only leading agricultural production but also adapting to digitalization and e-commerce in order to expand market opportunities.
Kurti further stated that societies where women have equal opportunities are wealthier, more democratic, and more sustainable.
