The Democratic National Convention will begin on July 19 in Chicago, Illinois, and will last for four days. Vice President Kamala Harris will officially accept her nomination as the Democratic Party’s candidate for President of the United States. She will compete in the presidential election on November 5 against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
For the convention, which will feature Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, representatives from Kosovo will also attend.
Gazeta Express has learned that Prime Minister Albin Kurti will be present, along with LDK Executive Committee member Alush Gashi and the Secretary for Foreign Relations of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bernard Nikaj.
The Democratic National Convention will be held from Monday, August 19, to Thursday, August 22. It will take place at two venues in Chicago. Important speeches will be delivered in the evenings, while daytime events will include official party meetings.
U.S. President Joe Biden is also expected to speak at the convention. The list of speakers has not yet been published, but American media reports suggest that notable Democratic figures such as former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will participate.
On the sidelines of the Democratic National Convention, the 11th International Leaders Forum will be held, where every four years the NDI Institute gathers politicians from around the world to observe this important aspect of the American democratic process.
Participants in the forum include heads of state, ministers, ambassadors, and members of parliament, as well as political party officials. They will engage in panels to share ideas on addressing urgent challenges to democracy.
