The leader of Lëvizja Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, has 15 days to present the composition and program of the new Government before the Assembly of Kosovo, according to the Constitution, Reporteri.net reports.

This follows the decision of President Vjosa Osmani, who today signed the Decree officially mandating Kurti to form the new Government of the Republic of Kosovo, in line with her constitutional powers.

“According to the Constitution, the nominee for forming the Government, Mr. Kurti, is obliged to present to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo the composition and program of the Government for approval no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of the decree,” stated the Presidency.

President Osmani wished success to Kurti, expressing hope that Kosovo will soon have a Government with a full constitutional mandate.

On her Facebook page, Osmani wrote that she hopes the new Government will make decisions for the good of the country and all its citizens.

“Today, in accordance with my constitutional powers, I have mandated the acting Prime Minister, Mr. Albin Kurti, as the nominee for forming the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. I wish for the Republic of Kosovo to soon have a Government with a full constitutional mandate, where decisions will be made for the good of our country and all our citizens,” Osmani wrote.
