In a solemn tribute marking the 36th anniversary of the death of national hero Ali Ajeti, Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti paid his respects today at the hero’s statue in Podujevë. He was accompanied by Acting Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation Arbërie Nagavci, as well as Mayor of Podujevë, Shpejtim Bulliqi.
The delegation gathered at “Boulevard of Martyrs” where they observed a minute of silence and laid flowers at the statue of Ali Ajeti, commemorating his sacrifice for the country.
“We are here to honor the memory and heroic act of Ali Ajeti, whose legacy continues to inspire generations,” said Kurti during the homage.
Following the official tribute, Kurti, Nagavci, Bulliqi, and Member of Parliament Saranda Bogujevci visited the family of Ali Ajeti, offering personal condolences and affirming the state’s gratitude for his ultimate sacrifice.
