Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti held a farewell meeting today with the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Antonello De Riu.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti expressed his gratitude for Ambassador De Riu’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations during his mandate.
During their discussion, they reflected on the achievements and joint projects between the two countries, such as:
- The implementation of the Kosovo–Italy driver’s license agreement
- The promotion of tourism in Kosovo
- Italy’s contribution to security through KFOR troop presence
- Support for agricultural cooperation
- Cultural and educational initiatives, including a noted rise in interest from Kosovar students to study in Italy
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Ambassador De Riu for his personal efforts and Italy’s continued support for Kosovo, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
